Features

Browsing History
Recently closed tabs are now saved locally as part of your browsing history. This allows you to easily access relevant history using the Command Bar or New Tab search. You can also view or clear your history via the 3-dot menu in the top-right corner of your web apps (browser bar).
Improved Search Accuracy
Enjoy significantly more accurate and relevant search results when using the Command Bar or New Tab search, thanks to an enhanced local search algorithm.
Enhanced "Move Tab to Another App"
You can now right-click a tab and select "Move To" to transfer it to any of your pinned apps, even if the app is not currently open.
Custom Prompt Titles
When adding a new prompt from the AI Chats screen, you can now specify a custom title. This makes it easier to identify and organize your prompts, compared to when Floutwork automatically generated the prompt titles.

Fixes

Prompt Refresh Issue
Fixed an issue where new prompts saved from the AI Chats screen did not refresh immediately in the context menus, making them invisible in the right-click context menu on web pages.
Incorrect "Active Tab" Display
In rare cases, the wrong tab was shown as the active tab.
Tasks App Tags Issue
Addressed a bug where the left tags pane in the Tasks app would collapse after resizing the Floutwork window, requiring it to be reopened.
Notes App Tag Selection Issue
Fixed a problem in the Notes app where selecting a tag with no notes failed to clear the notes list from the previously selected tag.
Notes Search Navigation Issue
Corrected an issue where searching for and selecting a note in the Notes app using the Command Bar did not navigate to the selected note.

Focus Mode Tabs Issue

The Floutwork desktop icon appeared distorted on some devices. This has been corrected for better display consistency.

Instant Loading for Built-in Floutwork Apps:
Built-in apps like Tasks, Notes, Bookmarks, and Emails now load instantly. Floutwork also uses less memory, even when multiple built-in apps are open. Additionally, Tasks and Notes will now load instantly from the top-right corner during browsing, giving you quicker access to take notes or add tasks.
Improved Command Bar:
The Command Bar (or Search Bar) is now larger and more prominent at the top of all Floutwork apps, enabling faster access to web apps and URLs.
Confirmation Prompt When Closing Floutwork:
To prevent accidental closures, especially when using keyboard shortcuts, a confirmation prompt will now appear to ensure you intended to close Floutwork.

Resolved an issue where hovering over the search icon would sometimes keep the Command Bar open unintentionally.
Permission Request for External Apps:
When a web app (e.g., Slack) attempts to open its desktop app, you will now receive a confirmation dialog to choose whether to proceed or cancel.
In-App Update Notification Display Issue:
Fixed a bug where the in-app update notification would not appear if your Floutwork session had timed out, preventing you from seeing available updates.

Feature Deprecation

Goals in the Tasks App:
Due to low usage, the "Goals" feature in the Tasks app has been deprecated. Existing goals will remain accessible, but you will no longer be able to create new ones. If you have feedback or suggestions for reintroducing this feature in a more integrated way, please reach out to daniel@floutwork.com.

Floating Floutwork Actions Menu:

Move Web Apps Between Windows: You can now move web apps between windows easily. After opening a web app in a new window (by right-clicking or dragging the web app icon), simply right-click the app icon in the new window and select "Move App to Main Window."
Move Tab Between Apps: Keep your tabs organized by moving them between apps. Right-click a tab in any app opened within Floutwork, and select the option to "Move to Another App."
Improved Productivity Metrics: Gain more detailed insights into web app usage. Previously, usage data from apps like Google Docs and Google Slides were grouped together. Now, you’ll receive fine-tuned metrics showing individual usage for each app.

New AI Chat: You can now chat with AI in a larger window. Click the AI icon on the left navigation bar to manage all your AI chats within Floutwork in one place. The Command Bar icon has been moved to the top-right corner of the Tasks app and the Launchpad app.
Proofread with AI: Introducing "Proofread," a new AI action. Simply select and right-click on any text on a web page and select "Ask AI -> Proofread" to quickly proofread any text without leaving your workflow.
Switch Workspaces via Command Bar: Open the Command Bar and type the name of the workspace to switch between them more easily using the keyboard. Access the Command Bar from anywhere by pressing CMD+1 in macOS or CTRL+1 in Windows.
"New Tab" Enhancement: Open any web app you added to your Launchpad as a tab by searching for it in the New Tab popup. This popup appears when you press the "+" icon in the tabs bar or use CMD+T in macOS or CTRL+T in Windows.

App Colors: The intense black and white app theme colors have been replaced with softer tones to ease eye strain.

Introducing Vertical Tabs: You now have the option to switch to the Vertical Tabs view. All your tabs, beautifully organized by apps. Switch between Horizontal Tabs and Vertical Tabs views easily by clicking the icon at the top left of any web app.
Move Apps Between Workspaces: Right-click any app in your Launchpad and select "Move to Workspace" or "Add to Workspace" to better manage apps between different workspaces. (Thank you for the feedback, Daniel P!)
Drag and Pop Out Apps: When you drag apps out of the left nav bar, instead of creating a new instance of the app, any tabs within the app you're dragging will be preserved as-is. For example, if you drag out the YouTube app while it is playing a video, the video will continue playing in the new popped-out window.
Open Launchpad with Keyboard Shortcut: You can use CMD + L (in macOS) or CTRL + L (in Windows) to quickly open the Launchpad from anywhere within Floutwork.
New Tab Enhancement: When you are creating a new tab by clicking on the + icon or using CMD + T or CTRL + T, you will now see an improved new tab experience. Instead of opening Google by default, the new tab allows you to start typing a URL or search your bookmarks right away.

Enjoy web tabs with favicon support.
To pin an app to the nav bar, you can now just drag and drop any app from the Launchpad to the nav bar.
Added the ability to reopen closed tabs in the order they were closed. Previously, you could only reopen the last closed tab. To reopen closed tabs, you can either use the keyboard shortcut CMD/CTRL + SHIFT + T or click on the menu item from the three dot menu on the top right corner of any web app.

Features

Introducing App Previews: Simply hover over any open app in the left navigation bar to view a quick preview. Click to navigate to the selected app as usual. This feature allows you to peek at an app briefly without fully switching back and forth, enhancing workflow efficiency.

For example: If you are working on an email in Gmail and quickly want to see a message you received in Slack, you can briefly hover over the Slack icon on your left navigation bar to take a peek. Hover out of the icon to return right back to Gmail.
Adding tasks via the command bar is now more streamlined. Simply begin typing your task directly and press ENTER; there's no need to select "Add Task" beforehand.
Enhanced UI for active app indicator on the left navigation bar.
Added functionality to view mouse shortcuts alongside keyboard shortcuts in the designated area.

Features

Time reporting is here! Click on the 3-bar icon on your left navigation bar, where you typically view your productivity metrics. Now, you can see reports of your time spent on tasks, apps, and workspaces (previously profiles). You can also export your time from there.
In your calendar, you can now move task suggestions to new times as you desire, and Floutwork will block that time on your calendar for you to perform the task.
When you toggle your calendar to week view, the tags pane automatically hides, giving you more space to view your calendar. You can unhide the tags pane if needed.
When starting a task using the "Start Task" button (previously Start Focus button), your recently used apps are displayed for your convenience.
Updated the color of tooltips to be more visually comfortable.

Fixes

CTRL + Mouse Scroll to zoom didn't function correctly in applications like Figma.
When CMD/CTRL + F is used to search on a web page, the focus was not on the find text box.
